Hello sunshine and hello weekend!
I'm so happy to see you both again!
I've been doing pretty well with my workouts this week, so I'm very proud of that.
This was my original plan for this week....
Fri Mar. 8 - possible track day (weather permitting)
I've only missed the pilates/yoga/stretching parts that I had planned. Those are workouts
that my body need, but not the parts that I particularly LIKE the most.
I like bodybuilding style workouts, so I have to push myself to get outside of that box.
Another problem is my joints don't love bodybuilding style workouts. My knees, elbows, and
shoulders are not particularly happy with me this morning. As a matter of fact, they woke me
up about 3:00 this morning to let me know that a day at the track would NOT be a good idea
Yet another goal, that isn't going to be easy....
5K WALKER, may have to be more like it! I won't let that get me down though. We are
all different, and have different capabilities. If I need to WALK instead of run, then that's
what I'll do!
I take Osteo-BiFlex, and Sam-E for my achey, stiff joints, and usually I feel pretty good,
but today called for Motrin too.
I probably need to remember to take Fish Oil, and I've read that green tea helps too.
Anyway, today I'll need to let my body rest, so I'll try to get that Yoga/Pilates session in
that I missed from Wednesday.
This weekend, Hubby is going to grill steaks, and I'm going to cook sweet potatoes to go
with them. I'm also looking forward to a yummy glass of Barefoot Red Moscato to go with
It's also time to SPRING forward. I'm not so happy about losing an hour of sleep, and not
happy that evil pollen will soon take over the world, but I am happy that we will have more
daylight and warmer temperatures. Note to mother nature -- I said warmer. Please don't
skip Spring and go straight to 90 degrees! Oh if Alabama would ever truly have 4 seasons!
What's for dinner next week?
It's also time to think about what in the world I'm going to cook for dinner next week.
It's going to be a pretty busy week for us, so I need to do some planning this weekend.
Planning is essential to avoid the dreaded question..."What are we supposed to eat?"
(You have to say it in a whiney, distraught tone to fully get the effect of what I hear!)
Here are some recipes that I want to try very soon...
So what are you up to this weekend?
Are you any good at planning out meals, or do you prefer to live "one day at a time"?
I'm linking up with Jen for some Friday fun! Check out this awesome link party as soon as
