MIMM + Happy Happy Happy Birthday

Hello and welcome to this weeks MIMM!

It's also going to be a recap of my Happy Happy Happy Birthday and Valentine's Day.

My birthday was on Thursday, which was also Valentine's Day. Last week ended on a crazy
note because of this big man... (you can read more about why he has to wear this awful
cone HERE.)

....so, I never got the chance to recap my special day.

What better time to do that than on Marvelous Monday, right?

My birthday and Valentine's Day was a perfect day. I started my day with a chest, shoulder,
and triceps workout, then got ready to go out and do a little shopping. I went to a couple of
my favorite stores (Academy Sports, and Kohl's) and also grabbed a couple of bottles of my
favorite red wine.  I love the Barefoot Sweet Red, and the Barefoot Red Moscato.  I also
like Barefoot Pink Moscato, but I already had one of those at home. :)

Don't worry, I didn't plan on drinking all three bottles for my birthday, I just wanted to
refill the empty spots in my wine rack. ;)

Before I headed to the carpool line, I stopped at our local Fro-Yo place. I had birthday cake
flavored fro-yo with Oreo cookie topping! SO GOOD! I actually ate most of it before I thought
about taking a pic. (Looks like I'll have to do a re-do on that one, heehee.)

As you can tell from the picture collage above,  my birthday involved gifts of coffee! I've
been curious to try Gevalia, and I also got six packs of flavored coffee from CoffeeAM.
They call it the Gourmet Decaf Flavor Sampler (I can't drink regular coffee. It makes my
heart feel like it's beating out of my chest! NOT the way I want to start my mornings!)

I've been drinking the Gevalia, but I am so excited to try the flavors. The flavors include,
Amaretto, Coconut Cream, English Toffee, Irish Mocha Mint, Kozy Fire, and Praline Royale.
How will I decide what to try first?!

I also had a PINK birthday cake! Of course my cake would be pink! It was so yummy!
We got the mini sized so that we could each have two pieces and it would be gone. No
need to have a huge cake sitting around tempting me for a week or more!

Hubby gave me roses, and lots of workout clothes. I took pictures of the outfits that match,
but I also got a couple of mix and match pieces that go with things I already own. Yes, I am
one of those girls who likes to match when I workout! Diva girly, girl, much? ;)

I also got money to buy a black Michael Kors purse. Hubby wasn't quite sure which one
I would like so he opted to give me cash. He hated not being able to surprise me with the
actual purse, but CASH totally works for me!

Ladybug ordered me some fun goodies from Sephora! One of the things that I had been wanting
the most was this lip gloss. I was so happy she surprised me with it, and I absolutely LOVE it.
It's definitely a beauty product that I don't ever want to run out of!

The lip gloss also came with some perfume samples. I've tried the Coach Love, and the Philosophy
Amazing Grace. Ladybug has tried the Daisy by Marc Jacobs, and has added it to her birthday
wish list. (Along with about $500 of other stuff, lol. Oh, raising a teenage daughter...)

And....I told you there would be sushi involved! We got take out because I wanted a quiet,
relaxing night at home.

Now that the birthday and Valentine celebrations are behind us, I need to focus on my New
Year's plans that I made back in January. I set a goal for myself to reach my "healthy, happy
weight" in 2013. It's time to get to work on that!

This is what I'm planning to do to keep myself accountable.

My plan is called "Lovie's Losing It!"

As a part of this plan I will weigh in on the 1st and 15th of every month.  I will also give weekly
progress reports here on how I did with following through on exercising, and eating less junk. I
will start wearing my Fitbit again so I can track my activity during the day.

I will even plan to take progress pics and measurements along the way. I may not want to share
all these details, but I need to do this in order to get my tail in gear! Time is passing, and apparently
the extra weight isn't going to just fall off me. :(

I've lost weight in the past, but after going off of my "diet," I slowly gained a lot of the weight back.
This time, I want to lose it slowly and I want to be smart about it. I know that to truly be successful,
I have to make changes that I can live with forever. "Lovie's Losing It!" will be a challenge for me,
but I know that I will be a whole lot happier ringing in the New Year knowing that this is a goal
that I ACCOMPLISHED! :)

Have a marvelous Monday!
